As many of our friends are no doubt hearing in the news, an earthquake, of 6.8 magnitude, hit the Philippines. The epicenter was in our province, Negros Oriental, approximately 50 miles north of Dumaguete. There was a tsunami alert that has since been lifted and there were numerous strong aftershocks. There are reports of damage in various parts of the island and one confirmed death.
Our team families are all safe. We did take heed to the warning and sought higher ground until the tsunami alert was lifted. Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for the many people who are being affected.
